Our garlic is grown on site in Lusk allowing us to bring both fresh and dried garlic to the Irish market. With a slower growing climate in Ireland and chemical usage kept to a minimum it allows us to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible and produce a fresher, more intensely flavoured product than imported alternatives.
A one metre verge is set around the perimeter of each field to encourage natural pollinators such as bees and nesting animals. Low in calories and rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin B6 and Manganese, garlic offers a number of nutritional benefits.
Fresh and dried garlic varieties are available. Fresh garlic is often referred to as wet or green garlic and is young garlic with its edible green stalks intact to offer a subtle, rich flavour. While dried garlic provides juicy cloves with a deep garlic flavour and is available in a number of forms, namely singular bulbs and cloves. Our garlic bulbs are easily identifiable as they are much larger than imported garlic products, the longer growing season here in Ireland allows us to do this.
