Our Blas na hÉireann award winning Black Garlic is rich and tangy, offering a umami flavour bomb! We take our garlic and allow it to ferment under strict heat and moisture conditions for several weeks, to ultimately produce sweet, rich flavoured bulbs of garlic with a soft texture and deep black colour. The unique flavour of Taylor’s black garlic takes meat- based dishes, stir fries, and sauces to the next level.
For our special smoked garlic, we take our Taylor’s garlic, harvested between August and March and slowly smoke it over whiskey oak until partially cooked. Due to its extra-long shelf life, it is an ideal ingredient to have stocked in the store cupboard, ready to add a delicious twist to a classic roast chicken or some sautéed mushrooms, at a moment’s notice.
Our Fireflame chillies are a medium/hot variety of chilli, perfect to spice up almost any dish. Harvested on our farm and delivered straight to your door, they are particularly delicious in chilli con carne and homemade chilli jam. Like our Padrón chillies, Taylor’s Fireflame chillies can be in season anytime between June and November, depending on the year’s sun and rain!
Sweet Pink Onion
We take our fresh sweet pink onions and dry them carefully to preserve them and their delicious flavour. In season from September to March, our dried sweet pink onions have a longer shelf life and are the perfect addition to any and all savoury dishes where onions are required and make for the best French onion soup known to man!
Straight up, full-bodied garlic! The flavour we all know and love. Our dried garlic is grown with great care and that shows in its robust flavour. In season from August to March, it is delicious in curries and tomato-based sauces and is perfect for use in any dish where garlic is required – which is pretty much every dish in our opinion!
Sweet Pink Shallots
With their crisp, pungent flavour, our sweet pink shallots pack more of a punch than their classic brown counterparts. In season from September to March, they can be used in all manner of dishes where shallots or onions are required and create an especially delicious base for soups and stews.
